Morning Drop-Off Club

A calm, positive start to the school day.

Our Morning Drop-Off Club provides children with a safe, welcoming and relaxed start to their school day, while giving parents and carers greater flexibility with their morning routine.

Based in The Hub, the club runs every school day from 7:45 until 8:50. Children can settle into the day, spend time with friends and enjoy a calm transition into school before heading to class.

The club is supervised by members of our school team, helping children to feel secure and comfortable in familiar surroundings.

Please note that breakfast is not provided, so children should have eaten before arriving.

Session costs:

  • Years 1–6: £6.00 per child
  • EYFS: £6.50 per child

Children enter via the school office entrance.

Bookings are made through our online payment and booking system, SCOPAY.

For further information, please contact the school office.

'Stay After School' (SAS) Club

Fun, friendship and play at the end of the school day.

Our Stay After School (SAS) Club offers children a fun, safe and engaging environment in which to relax, play and spend time with friends at the end of the school day.

SAS runs on site every school day from 15:30 until 17:55 and is based in The Hub.

We want children to see SAS as an enjoyable extension of their school day. Sessions provide opportunities to unwind, socialise and take part in a range of activities in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Children can enjoy a variety of activities, including:

  • Arts, crafts and creative activities
  • Games and imaginative play
  • Time to relax and chat with friends
  • Physical activities and outdoor play
  • Use of spaces including the playground and school hall

Giving children opportunities to choose how they spend their time helps to develop independence, creativity, confidence and positive friendships, while our playworkers are on hand to provide support and supervision.

Children in EYFS and Year 1 are collected directly from their classrooms by a member of the SAS team. Children in Years 2–6 make their way to The Hub at the end of the school day, where everyone is registered.

A snack is provided during the session. This is intended as an afternoon snack rather than an evening meal, so children will still need dinner after they are collected.

Session costs

  • Years 1–6: £16.00 per child
  • EYFS: £16.50 per child
  • 5% sibling discount for second and subsequent children

We accept childcare vouchers and are registered with the relevant schemes. Please contact the school office if you would like further information about using childcare vouchers.

Collection

When arriving to collect your child, parents and carers should call the dedicated SAS mobile phone to let the team know they have arrived.

Your child will then be brought to the school hall entrance, where they will be signed out safely before leaving with you.

Booking your place

SAS bookings operate on a rolling arrangement and can be made by emailing sas@whitegroveprimary.co.uk.

Whether families need regular after-school care or support around their working day, our aim is to provide children with a safe, happy and enjoyable place to finish their day at Whitegrove.
